Winter Sun

When the sun shines in January, the cold may seem suppressed. The harshness of winter is taking its bow. Even the frost flicks in light and frolics with the sun. For the season knows its presence, quiet and still. Seasons change and know when to yield, for the balance in nature’s good will. Blue calm until the winds begin to sing, then heard as a howl. On this day, as bright as spring, the sun is shining for now.
