Your October

Your October,
is fondly here.
The winds,
are wildly blowing.
The trees I see,
red and gold
reminding me
the stories you’ve told.
Still not enough
to get me through,
seasons are not the same,
without you.
Autumn brings,
warm fires and a glow
wish I knew then,
what I now know.
It is,
the most simple
of all things,
I miss you.
Our talks, the drives,
everything.
What Autumn brings,
summer can not replace.
After winter,
and then on to spring.
What is born over again,
is not our yesterdays…
or anything close,
all there is,
is what remains.
